Game of Thrones Season 5: New Video Explains the Stunts
With only a few days left in Game of Thrones season 5 worldwide premiere, HBO releases yet another clip to tease the fans.
I am not a huge fan of looking into the making of stunts but this recent release is worth looking at. The clip features some new faces and a little insight to what to expect from the upcoming season.
Stunt coordinator, Rowley Irlam says that there is a lot going on in this season, people are falling off cliffs, boats are turning over and some really ‘big kills’ are coming our way (maybe we are to witness yet another Red Wedding).
Irlam tells that the show has 50 stunt people working on a fighting sequence and the number itself is quite huge for a TV show. This is what we know so far about the upcoming season, everything is going to change in Westeros and Essos and it is going to bloody and lethal.
Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) has come to claim himself as the rightful heir to the throne and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is struggling between the Night’s Watch and the newly arrived ‘King’.
Daenerys Targaryan (Emilia Clarke) is planning to conquer the world with the help of her Dragons but she has to make great sacrifices in order to achieve her goal.
The undefeated Lannisters are in trouble as Oberyn Martell’s bastard daughters (The Sand Snakes) have come for revenge as a team. Nymeria (Jessica Henwick), Obara (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Tyene (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers) are dangerous, manipulative and deadly.
Game of Thrones season 5 premieres on April 12.
