Tekken 7: Jin Kazama, Devil Jin, and Josie Rizal Officially Announced
The 20th anniversary livestream on Nico Nico saw Tekken 7 Director and Producer Katsuhiro Harada announce three new characters for the game.
The much anticipated Jin Kazama will be returning to the latest installment, as well as Devil Jin. The third character is Josie Rizal, a new character for the game’s roster who originates from the Philippines and unsurprisingly will be donned in a golden revealing outfit.
According to Harada, Jin Kazama will join the roster on March 31, followed by Devil Jin on April 7. A release date for Josie Rizal was not announced, except for a teasing “soon” time frame.
The announcement comes just weeks after Korean data-miners discovered images of the characters hidden inside the game files. Images of four characters were revealed, of which three have been officially announced today. The fourth one looks to be a cyborg or at least robotic in nature. It could be a new costume for Jack or Marduk, or a new entry in the roster.

Tekken 7 is the ninth installment in the Tekken fighting game series and is the first in the franchise to make use of the Unreal Engine 4 game engine. The game is already available in Japanese arcades and a console version is expected to release later this year.
