Amazon Spain Pegs Halo 5: Guardians for September 10 Release
Over the weekend, Amazon Spain was spotted to have listed Halo 5: Guardians for a release on September 10 this year.
That date was however, then replaced with “la venta el 31 de diciembre de 2015,″ which translates into the new installment releasing on December 31, 2015. Such listings are there as placeholders, meaning that the game is pegged for a release this year but a concrete date is not available.
So what caused the retailer to list the earlier September 10 release date? Could be out of human error or perhaps Halo 5: Guardians really is releasing around that time and 343 Industries didn’t like to see the release date leaked.
In either case, we’ve yet to hear about any time frames from either the developer or publisher. We’ve been given continuous assurance that the development is on track and hence, it’s highly unlikely that it will be pushed into 2016.
However, seeing a pattern of delayed announcements that have been surging since last year, it could very well be that 343 Industries decides to delay the game in order to gain more time to add finishing touches.
Halo 5: Guardians is a major highlight of this year’s holiday season, and I doubt Microsoft will let the game slip into early 2016.
