The Legend of Zelda Wii U

Back in 2014, a number of games were pushed out to 2015. Battlefield Hardline, Batman Arkham Knight and a few others were among those games. However, it looks like the trend will somewhat continue in 2015.

First, Sony announced a delay for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and now we have another delay, but this time from Nintendo’s side. As announced in video by Eiji Aonuma, The Legend of Zelda Wii U has been delayed out of 2015. Not only that but the game won’t even make it to E3.

So don’t bother hoping for it to make an appearance at the biggest gaming showcase of the year.

Now the question is, why the game is delayed? Are there any issues or hurdles during development? Well, no! According to Eiji Aonuma, they came across some new possibilities that would require more development time.

In these last three months, as the team has experienced firsthand the freedom of exploration that hasn’t existed in any Zelda game to date, we have discovered several new possibilities for this game.

As we have worked to turn these possibilities into reality, new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds even my own expectations.

He went on to say:

So, I must apologize to you all that were expecting the game by year’s end, but we are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority. Instead, our priority is to make it the most complete and ultimate Zelda game.

F
irst Uncharted now Zelda, who is next? Halo? I sure hope not.
