Xbox One April Update Brings Voice Messages, Dedicated Chat Servers and More

The Xbox One April Update got its first details a week ago through the update preview program, but not all the enhancements were revealed or discussed back then.

Now, Microsoft has gone on to reveal another feature or two through a new video where Larry Hryb the Director of Programming for Xbox Live discussed the additions with the Xbox’s engineering team.

The most interesting addition was not mentioned when the first details were shared i.e. voice messages! Just like Xbox 360, the Xbox One April Update will add the feature to the new console and even allow users to send voice messages across the two consoles.

It works just like voicemail, only better.

Also the update is going to add dedicated chat servers for users who are having difficulty in party chat connections. This is in addition to improved party chat troubleshooting features that we already know of.

There also is the What’s On feature that will let you get better tailored results for the games and shows you like.

The video above is pretty detailed and comes not only with the voices of the guys who are making it but also clips that show the dashboard and how it will looks and work with the Xbox One April Update.

Was there any thing else that you wanted in the system update?
