R.B.I. Baseball 15 Confirmed for March 31 Launch
R.B.I. Baseball 15, a professional baseball title that utilizes only two buttons, is confirmed for a release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 31.
The game with its simplistic control scheme will be priced at $19.99 and is currently available for pre-orders from GameStop. As of yet, there’s no news of any pre-order bonuses or incentives for early adopters.
R.B.I. Baseball 15 is also currently in development for PC, Mac, iOS and Android. The release date and pricing for that version is still under wraps.
Announced in February by Major League Baseball as an extremely “easy-to-play” game for all ages, R.B.I. Baseball 15 is going to boast many features, including online play and statistics tracking.
It’s being developed at MLB’s Advanced Media division, which was also behind last year’s installment, that evidently was the first entry in the series in over two decades. R.B.I. Baseball 14 was also priced at $19.99 but was met with a poor reception.
Players were not fans of its visual capabilities, lack of depth in gameplay and features that were labeled poorly structured.
This year’s installment looks to correct that perception. The game will include authentic stadiums and full 40-man rosters for all 30 teams, online multiplayer, and stat tracking. The cover athlete is none other than Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo.
