Evolve Patch 1.3 Balance Changes Detailed by Turtle Rock
Turtle Rock Studios have detailed the changes that you can expect from the Evolve Patch 1.3!
Some really interesting balancing is coming your way.
Lets talk about Kraken first. The most prominent change is going to be the fix to “some flight edge cases that were causing inconsistencies making him too powerful or too weak depending on the situation.” Then, for Vortex they have increased cooldown by one second and reduced knockback magnitude.
Now “Kraken’s flight speed is no longer slowed by Tranqs since they pull him to the ground where running speed is affected,” and Tranqs, Grenades and Harpoons pull Kraken down consistently in or out of combat.
Lastly, Aftershock will now be able to break harpoons.
For Wraith they are “making her movement speed less bursty which makes her easier to keep track of. Making Supernova less lethal while still allowing it to be just as powerful. Making Warp Blast a damage dealer instead of a traversal mechanic.”
Warp speed and Supernova duration have both been decreased by 25 percent and 50 percent respectively. Cooldown time has been increased by two seconds and if shot while cloaked you will be able to see Wraith for half a second. There are other changes too:
- Speed reduced by 40%
- Range no longer levels up.
- Radius levels up now.
- Max travel distance set to 30 meters for all levels.
- Damage increased by 10%
Similarly, balancing changes are going to be made to Markov, Hyde, Parnell, Maggie, Griffin, Bucket, Cabot, Val, and Caira through the Evolve Patch 1.3 although few of them have massive changes like Kraken and Wraith.
