MewTwo for Super Smash Bros is Almost Done: Sakurai
Well, it was way back in April 2013 when we let you know that MewTwo was going to make a comeback in a new form in Pokemon X and Y. After that, the character made it to the news again when it was revealed that Nintendo will bring it to Super Smash Bros for Wii U as well as 3DS.
However, that news came in November last year and although it was announced that we won’t see the character in action until 2015, it has been a while since any of the officials talked about the plan.
Questions were asked and the series director Masahiro Sakurai decided to talk about the release again.
He was part of a livestream as a guest where they talked about Super Smash Bros and alongside other things, he assured that the development on MewTwo was almost done:
About the delivery of MewTwo which every one is worried about, it is pretty much done. As planned we our planning [sic] to release MewTwo so wait until the announcement. We plan to release MewTwo very soon.
So there you have it, you will be able to choose MewTwo from among the playable characters in Super Smash Bros very soon! There is nothing to worry about!
Other than this, the developers have been quiet about news related to Super Smash Bros for a while now. The last we heard of it was back in February when it was reported that one of the exploits of the game, PikAmp, was acctually game-breaking.
It was also in February that the game received Amiibo support and Share Mode.
