Halo 5 Hunt the Truth Website is Live, Will Answer Some Plot Questions
Halo 5 is getting more and more interesting as each month passess. So many questions are begging for an answer, for example, why is James Locke hunting down Master Chief? Why is he on the run? What did he do to deserve being called a “TRAITOR”?
Just a few days ago, developer 343 guided our attention towards a teaser site with a countdown and a #HunttheTruth. The countdown clock was supposed to stop on March 21 (or March 22 in some regions), which it did and revealed to us a very brief teaser video.
The footage showed a bullet with the word “traitor” engraved on it, fired towards our protagonist. A clean headshot!
Now to make things even more interesting and mysterious, that teaser-site has transformed into a full blown website created by a fictional character named Benjamin Giraud. He is a war journalist and is in the middle of creating a Master Chief’s biography.
For decades, I’ve served the galaxy as a journalist and war photographer. I’ve covered human-interest stories on Earth and in the Inner and Outer Colonies. I’ve also contracted for the government, covering military affairs. I was at New Mombasa when the Master Chief first appeared to combat the Covenant attack.
The journalist may be able to answer some of the questions bothering us. Each week, he will upload a new audio log to share more about the backstory and his findings during his #HuntfortheTruth. You can listen to the first episode here.
Halo 5: Guardians is coming out this holiday season exclusively on Xbox One.
