Who is up for some Ninja Turtles and a talking rat? I am! The New York Daily News reports that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will start filming from next month in New York City and Buffalo.

Mayor de Blasio has officially welcomed Ninja Turtles to the City and he seems excited because the movie won’t only bring money into the city but it will help resolve the ‘unemployment’ issue.

He says, “New York City knows how to host blockbuster films. We welcome ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ to New York City, and look forward to the many jobs and tens of millions of jobs this will bring to our local economy.”

Dan Garodnick (Council Member) said, “There is no better way to project the character of this city than through television and film,” he further added “And what’s more New York than pizza-loving ninjas and a talking rat?”

The movie is expected to spend around $63 million, with Megan Fox reprising her role as April O’Neil alongside William Fichtner.

Platinum Dunes’ trio Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Michael Bay will produce the upcoming movie: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. André Nemec and Josh Appelbaum have written the script for the sequel and David Green (Earth Echo) will direct the feature.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set for a June 3 2016 release.
