PSN Will be Down on March 23 For Maintenance: Sony
No one likes when any of the servers are down; but it is all fine when that is the case due to required maintenance. It is even better if the company acts like a doll and lets the player know about the scheduled maintenance period beforehand.
So Sony has announced that Monday is not the day when you should plan to use the PSN for making your day better. A maintenance period is coming your way on March 23 from 4:00PM GMT to 6:30PM GMT.
This is a short period of two and a half hours, so don’t panic when that happens.
Moving on, the official PlayStation website has also said that online gameplay will be available only under given circumstances, and not otherwise:
PS4 users will be able to access online gameplay only if their system is activated as their Primary system and they have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached. If your PS4 system is not activated as the Primary system, online gaming may not be available.
PS3 and PS Vita users may experience limited PSN functionality, however online gameplay will be available to users who have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached.
They also added that anyone who’s details have not been chached with PSN is not going to be able to log in as well as play in an online session.
Last but not the least, Sony said that the PSN maintenance “may” stake longer than the prescribed two and a half hours so don’t worry if things don’t get back to normal after 6:30PM
