In today’s video, we discuss something subjective – are video game remasters good or bad? And...
Heavy Rain Was Originally Going to Have Supernatural Elements
It has been around five years since Heavy Rain released; however, the game has a fan following that would want to know what the game could have been.
Let me put it in another way, have you wondered what was the reason behind some of the unexplained elements in the game – most notably the infamous blackouts that our protagonist gets?
Well, it turns out that the plot of the game was somewhat changed midway through the development. There was originally supposed to be some really heavy supernatural elements in the game that were cut out to make it appear a game out of that genre.
A video was recently shared by a YouTuber where some unseen scenes were shown, including some of the the supernatural elements that were removed.
Apart from the fact that the footage is new even for the long standing; it also teases what Heavy Rain could have been.
Apparently, these elements would have created new, and bigger empty holes in the story of the game, so the developers choose to go with the option that had lesser of those empty holes in the plot like the unexplained blackouts.
Heavy Rain was originally a PlayStation 3 title that was released on February 18, 2010.
