God of War III: Remastered Announced for PS4, Coming This July
God of War III is being remastered for the PlayStation 4 and will arrive in July, Sony has announced.
Bringing the game to the newer console is Sony’s way of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the franchise. Other than that, there’s no possible reasoning that can be put forward in my opinion that justifies this pathetic attempt to satisfy a community starving for exclusives.
God of War III: Remastered will have all of its graphics redone in 1080p glory and run at 60 frames-per-second. Additionally, the game will include a Photo Mode, similar to what we have seen in The Last of Us: Remastered, inFamous: Second Son, and Driveclub.
The original game was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2010. The game still looks and plays gorgeous. Today’s announcement might also mean that at some point this year, Sony will also announce a remastered version for Uncharted 3 or else an overhauled trilogy pack.
God of War III: Remastered will release for the PlayStation 4 on July 14 in North America, July 15 in Europe, and July 17 in the United Kingdom. You’ll soon be able to enjoy the luscious company of Aphrodite in her bed chambers in glorious 1080p.
If there really is a rumored God of War IV in development right now, we’re not going to hear about it during the franchise’s 10th anniversary.
