Gran Turismo 6 Update 1.17 Fixes B-Spec Mode Issue, Adds Cars

Developer Polyphony Digital has released update 1.17 for Gran Turismo 6. The update available on PlayStation 3 adds new cars and fixes the B-Spec Mode problem that came with update 1.16.

Users discovered that after 1.16 was installed, they couldn’t resume Championship race after suspending progress in B-Spec Mode. The problem is now resolved thanks to 1.17.

Moreover, three new cars are added to the mix along with a bunch of new features. Check out 1.17 patch details below.

Vision Gran Turismo

  • The LEXUS LF-LC GT “Vision Gran Turismo”,“Alpine Vision Gran Turismo” and “Alpine Vision Gran Turismo Race Mode” have been released.
  • After the update has been installed, the cars can be purchased from the [Vision GT] option within the [CARS] section in “My Home”. Alternatively, it is also possible to obtain the cars by completing a lap (regardless of the lap time) in the new Seasonal Events, available only for a limited time.
  • The “Alpine Vision GT” racing suits and helmets have been added to the [Special Outfit] page of the [Racing Gear] option within the [TUNING & MAINTENANCE] section, accessible from “My Home”. The suits and helmets can also be obtained through the corresponding Seasonal Events, available only for a limited time.

Resolved Issue:

  • The issue discovered within Update 1.16 regarding resuming a “Championship” race after suspending progress while playing in “B-Spec” mode has been addressed.
