Battlefield Hardline Unlocks Guide – Weapon, Attachments, Equipment, Camos

In Battlefield Hardline, not everything is unlocked right off the bat. Aside from a couple of pistols, some melee weapons, and T62-CEW; all weapons/equipment must be unlocked by completing Episodes and Case Files.

Battlefield Hardline Unlocks

Our guide covers everything you need to know about unlocking weapons, gadgets, and other pieces of equipment.

Expert Level Unlocks

Almost everything you do in Battlefield Hardline such as scanning evidences, arrest suspects, non-lethal takedowns, and completing objectives add to your expert score – increasing your expert level.

As your expert level increases, you acquire more weapons, attachments, and gadgets:

CZ-75 Pistol, M1911A1 Heavy Pistol
These weapons are unlocked once you reach Expert Level 12,000.

37 Stakeout Shotgun
This weapon is unlocked once you reach expert level 23,000.

Armored Insert, First Aid Pack, Ammo Box, Gas Mask
These pieces of equipment are unlocked once you reach expert level 33,000.

MP5K SMG, MPX SMG, P90 PDW
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 44,000.

New ‘Cop’ Primary Weapon Attachments
These weapons attachments are unlocked once you reach expert level 54,000.

R700 LTR Sniper Bolt Action, SOCOM16 Sniper Semi-Auto, SR-25 ECC Sniper Semi-Auto
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 65,000.

New ‘Cop’ Secondary Weapon Attachments
These weapons attachments are unlocked once you reach expert level 75,000.

.40 Pro Heavy Pistol, Bald Eagle Heavy Pistol, .410 Jury Revolver, .44 Magnum Revolver
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 86,000.

Laser Tripmine, Breaching Charge
These pieces of equipment are unlocked once you reach expert level 96,000.

New ‘Criminal’ Primary Weapon Attachments
These weapons attachments are unlocked once you reach expert level 106,000.

TEC-9 Machine Pistol, Blackjack Melee, Baseball Bat Melee, Lead Pipe Melee, Golf Club Melee
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 116,000.

SPAS-12 Shotgun, Double-Barrel Shotgun
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 127,000.

New ‘Criminal’ Secondary Weapon Attachments
These weapons attachments are unlocked once you reach expert level 137,000.

AKS-74U Carbine, G36C Carbine
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level 147,000.

300 Knockout Sniper Bolt Action, AWM Sniper Bolt Action, SAIGA .308 Sniper Semi-Auto, PTR-91 Sniper Semi-Auto
These weapons are unlocked once you reach expert level Expert Level 157,000.

Weapons Unlocked via Case Files

In order to complete a Case File, you must find all evidences related to a particular Case File – scattered across different chapters. Once you successfully close a Case File, you receive a silver battlepack as well as a weapon.

The Hot Shot File
Once The Hot Shot File is completed, you will acquire a .38 Snub Revolver and a .357 RS Revolver.

Hot Shot Supply Chain
For completing Hot Shot Supply Chain, you will receive a SCAR-H Battle Rifle and a HCAR Battle Rifle.

The Elmore Hotel Investigation
In order to acquire a 93R Machine Pistol and a G18C Machine Pistol, you must complete The Elmore Hotel Investigation.

Internal Affairs
This Internal Affairs Case File contains one long list of evidences scattered across a couple of chapters, but upon completion you will acquire a M416 Assault Rifle, a RO933 Carbine, and a SG533 Carbine.

Power Play
For you to get your hands on a HK51 Battle Rifle and a SA-58 OSW Battle Rifle, you must complete Power Play Case File.

The Boomer Connection
For completing the Boomer Connection, you will acquire a K10 SMG, a UZI SMG, and a FMG-9 SMG.

Preferred Outcomes
M240B LMG is awarded to you once you successfully complete the Preferred Outcomes Case File.

Camouflage Unlocks

As you make progress through the single-player campaign episodes, you receive a number of camouflages to use on your weapons in Tactical Gear. Do note that by default, you only unlock Zebra Bliz, Zebra Blaz, Zebra, Circuit, Rattlesnake, and Visceral Dev. camos.

Here is a quick overview of every camo that you can unlock:

Solid Camos
In order to unlock Solid Camos, you need to complete Episode #1: Back to School on any difficulty setting.

Forest Camos
To unlock Forest Camos, you need to finish Episode #2: Checking Out on any difficulty setting.

Aviator Camos
For you to unlock Aviator Camos, you must complete Episode #3: Gator Bait on any difficulty setting.

Snow Camos
Once successfully completed ‘Episode #4: Case Closed’ on any difficulty setting, you will unlock Snow Camos.

Hunter Camos
In order to unlock Hunter Camos, you need to complete Episode #6: Out of Business on any difficulty setting.

Desert Camos
For you to unlock Desert Camos, you need to complete Episode #7: Glass Houses on any difficulty setting.

Urban Camos
Urban Camos can be unlocked by completing Episode #8: Sovereign Land on any difficulty setting.

Jungle Camos
You need to complete Episode #9: Independence Day on any difficulty setting to unlock Jungle Camos.

Exotic Camos
Once you successfully complete Episode #10: Legacy on any difficulty setting, you will unlock Exotic Camos.

Bronze Plated
Completing all Episodes on Cadet Difficulty nets you Bronze Plated camo.

Silver Plated
Completing all Episodes on Officer Difficulty will get your Silver Plated camo.

Gold Plated
Completing all Episodes on Veteran Difficulty will let you equip Gold Plated camo on your weapons.

Dropped Weapons and Equipment

Dropped Weapons are the most demanded weapons in Battlefield Hardline. These weapons are dropped by your enemies during engagements and can be picked up by your character.

However, do note that you must add the picked up weapon to Tactical Gear after picking it up. Following are the locations of all dropped weapons that can be picked up in Battlefield Hardline:

870P Magnum Shotgun
This weapon is first dropped by criminals during Episode #1: Back to School. While playing ‘Episode #8: Sovereign Land,’ you need to head inside the silo and check the table located there to find it.

45T Heavy Pistol
45T Heavy Pistol is dropped by criminals during Episode #3: Gator Bait.

AKM Assault Rifle
AKM Assault Rifle is dropped by criminals during Episode #3: Gator Bait.

G17 Pistol
In order to acquire G17 Pistol, you need to start Episode #8: Sovereign Land and locate it right next to a truck parked in the trailer park.

M16A3 Assault Rifle
In order to acquire M16A3 Assault Rifle, start Episode #8: Sovereign Land and head inside the trailer containing Nick’s gear. Once you get inside the trailer, check the nearby couch to find the weapon on top of it.

M/45 SMG
This weapon can be found in Episode #3: Gator Bait. Once you reach the gator farm, hop inside an airboat and travel to the southwest side to reach a dockyard.

Once you get there, climb the wooden tower and reach a lower platform on the southeast side. You will find the M/45 SMG in this area.

MAC-10 Machine Pistol
MAC-10 Machine Pistol is dropped by criminals during Episode #2: Checking Out.

Scout Elite Sniper Bolt Action
You can find this weapon in Episode #3: Gator Bait. Once you arrive at the nature reserve, hop inside an airboat and take it south to reach a small dockyard right next to an island.

Once you arrive at the said area, use your grappling hook to reach a wooden ledge directly above your location. From this area, turn east and use your zipline to reach another platform containing the weapon.

UMP-45 SMG
You will find this weapon in the basement of Domo Roboto Warehouse during Episode #4 Case Closed.

Grappling Hook
This piece of equipment is awarded to players during Episode #3: Gator Bait.

Zipline
This piece of equipment is awarded to players during Episode #3: Gator Bait.
