Finding evidences is an optional quest but will reward you with XP and a handful of Trophies or Achievements.
The Hot Shot File
You start investigating this case file during Episode #1: Back to School. Once completed, you will acquire new revolvers and a battlepack.

During episode #1, head to the school and make your way up to the second floor. The document sits on a desk right next to a half-eaten burger inside a lab.

This document is located inside the lab where you find Document: Ledger and Money. Go to the far wall on the right-hand side and check the table with a printer on it.

You need to head inside the laundry room and walk to the shelves placed on the very center of the area. You will come across a Hawaiian shirt hanged there which you need to scan to scan to log the evidence.

For this evidence, you need to head inside Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the third floor break room. Once there, use the steps to reach the manager’s office and find the Elmore Plaza Business Card sitting on a desk.

You start investigating this case file during Episode #3: Gator Bait. Once completed, you will acquire new assault rifles and a battlepack.

While you are on your way to the boathouse in the natural reserve, you will come across a toxic barrel half-immersed in water near the corner of the dock. You need to scan this barrel to log the evidence.

There is another dock near located near the sawmill (near the southern side of the lake). Once you reach this area, use your grappling hook to reach a tower and find this evidence placed on a wooden table.

You need to head to the gator farm and scan a person named Thomas Bell. Once you dispatch him, scan his body to find a newspaper clipping on him.

You need to head north from the nature reserve and travel to the right side as soon as you see a dock.
a little farther and use your grappling hook to reach the open end of a tower. Once you reach the tower, move a little towards north and reach a lower platform that comes into view. It’s in this location where you find the evidence.

While you are in the Everglades, use an airboat to reach the gator farm located on the north side of the lake. Once you reach there, you will find a dead alligator on a walkway. You need to scan its body to log the evidence.

This evidence is also located at the Everglades gator farm. You need to head inside the tall building on the right-hand side and a pair of bloody boot lying on the floor – scan them.
Trace: Chemical Barrel

You need to head south from the gator farm to come across a small group of huts – the location can also be reached from the east side of the nature reserve. Once you arrive at the dock, scan a chemical barrel located nearby to log the evidence.
Physical: Stained Fanboat
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait
You will come across a large fanboat located in the very center of the sawmill. An easy way to log the scan is to do it from the water tower.
Physical: Water Sampling Equipment

You need to exit the sawmill using the left side of the large barn located in the area. On your way, you will come across water sampling equipment (test tubes, beakers, and stuff like that) on a wooden workbench.

This evidence is also located at the sawmill. You will come across a long log pile located near the east side of the large barn. If you look closely, you will come across a letter pinned to the log. You need to scan this note to log the evidence.
