Battlefield Hardline Case Files Evidence Locations ‘World’s Greatest Detective Guide

After acquiring the scanner, you can scan your nearby areas for potential evidence.

While scanning, check the upper-left corner of the screen to view the total number of evidences in your vicinity and distance to the nearest evidence.

Battlefield Hardline Case Files Evidence Locations

Finding evidences is an optional quest but will reward you with XP and a handful of Trophies or Achievements.

The Hot Shot File

You start investigating this case file during Episode #1: Back to School. Once completed, you will acquire new revolvers and a battlepack.

Document: Ledger and Money
Location: Episode #1: Back to School – inside school

During episode #1, head to the school and make your way up to the second floor. The document sits on a desk right next to a half-eaten burger inside a lab.

Document: Surveillance Photo of Stoddard
Location: Episode #1: Back to School – inside school

This document is located inside the lab where you find Document: Ledger and Money. Go to the far wall on the right-hand side and check the table with a printer on it.

Trace: Box of Hot Shot
Location: Episode #1: Back to School – inside school

There is a small room connected to the lab inside the school. Khai will also point out the box with her flashlight to make it easier for you to find.

Hot Shot Supply Chain

You start investigating this case file during Episode #2: Checking Out. Once completed, you will acquire new battle rifles and a battlepack.

Trace: Box of Hot Shot
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

While standing on the entrance to the laundry room, walk to the corner on the far-right side. You will find a box of hot shot sitting on the ground.

Trace: Crate of Hot Shot
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to enter the basement of the Domo Roboto warehouse. Once you are there, kill the guard at the camera controller and check the backside of the room to find this evidence.

Trace: Exploded Drug Bale
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

This evidence is located in the Everglades Nature Reserve. You need to use the zipline to travel to the opposite side of the fence and scan the ground to find it.

Trace: Palette of Hot Shot
Location: Episode #6: Out of Business

During episode #6, you need to head inside the chop shop and then to the office on the backside. You will find the evidence sitting under the walkway.

Trace: Hot Shot Lab
Location: Episode #8: Sovereign Land

First off, you need to disable the alarm inside the trailer park. After doing it, head inside the trailer and check the area with the stove to find this evidence.

Physical: Gym Bag of Money
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to head inside Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the first floor of the area. Once you are up there, head inside the office on the right side to find this evidence.

The Elmore Hotel

You start investigating this case file during Episode #2: Checking Out, Once completed, you acquire new machine pistols and a battlepack.

Document: Care Instructions Memo
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

You need to head inside the laundry room and walk to the shelves placed on the very center of the area. You will come across a Hawaiian shirt hanged there which you need to scan to scan to log the evidence.

Document: Drug Purchase List
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

While you are inside the laundry room, head inside a connected room on the right side to find this evidence sitting on a table.

Trace: Vial of Hot Shot
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

Once you enter the hotel lobby, scan the guard on the right side (dressed all in black). You need to take him down using a non-lethal takedown and search his body to find this evidence.

Document: Tablet with IM Client
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

Inside the hotel lobby, there is a photocopier standing behind the reception with a tablet placed on top of it – you need to scan this tablet.

Physical: Answering Machine
Location: Episode #2: Checking Out

Inside the hotel lobby, head inside the room located behind the reception desk. Inside this office, check the table on the left side to find an answering machine that you need to scan.

Document: Elmore Plaza Business Card
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

For this evidence, you need to head inside Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the third floor break room. Once there, use the steps to reach the manager’s office and find the Elmore Plaza Business Card sitting on a desk.

Internal Affairs

You start investigating this case file during Episode #3: Gator Bait. Once completed, you will acquire new assault rifles and a battlepack.

Trace: Toxic Barrel
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

While you are on your way to the boathouse in the natural reserve, you will come across a toxic barrel half-immersed in water near the corner of the dock. You need to scan this barrel to log the evidence.

Trace: Kilo of Cocaine
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

There is another dock near located near the sawmill (near the southern side of the lake). Once you reach this area, use your grappling hook to reach a tower and find this evidence placed on a wooden table.

Document: Newspaper Story
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

You need to head to the gator farm and scan a person named Thomas Bell. Once you dispatch him, scan his body to find a newspaper clipping on him.

Document: Regional Zoning Map
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

You need to head north from the nature reserve and travel to the right side as soon as you see a dock.

a little farther and use your grappling hook to reach the open end of a tower. Once you reach the tower, move a little towards north and reach a lower platform that comes into view. It’s in this location where you find the evidence.

Physical: Dead Gator
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

While you are in the Everglades, use an airboat to reach the gator farm located on the north side of the lake. Once you reach there, you will find a dead alligator on a walkway. You need to scan its body to log the evidence.

Physical: Torture Traces
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

This evidence is also located at the Everglades gator farm. You need to head inside the tall building on the right-hand side and a pair of bloody boot lying on the floor – scan them.

Trace: Chemical Barrel
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

You need to head south from the gator farm to come across a small group of huts – the location can also be reached from the east side of the nature reserve. Once you arrive at the dock, scan a chemical barrel located nearby to log the evidence.

Physical: Stained Fanboat
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

You will come across a large fanboat located in the very center of the sawmill. An easy way to log the scan is to do it from the water tower.

Physical: Water Sampling Equipment
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

You need to exit the sawmill using the left side of the large barn located in the area. On your way, you will come across water sampling equipment (test tubes, beakers, and stuff like that) on a wooden workbench.

Document: Note Pinned with Switchblade
Location: Episode #3: Gator Bait

This evidence is also located at the sawmill. You will come across a long log pile located near the east side of the large barn. If you look closely, you will come across a letter pinned to the log. You need to scan this note to log the evidence.

Document: Manila Envelope

While you are in sawmill, head inside the cargo container and then into the office inside. You need to scan the document placed near a couple of monitor screens to bag the evidence.

Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

In order to find this evidence, you need to head inside the Domo Roboto Warehouse and make your way down to the main office. Once you head inside the office, check the table placed right next to the water dispenser to find the evidence.

Physical: Talking Tamu-Tami Stuffy
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to head inside the Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the third floor. Once you are there, head inside the office on the right-hand side right next to the break room. You need to check the left corner of the room to find the evidence.

Trace: Barrels of Dye
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to head inside Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the first floor. Once you are there, scan the blue barrels located in the area to find this evidence.

Physical: Burner Cellphones
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to head inside Neltz’ Warehouse and make your way up to the third floor. From the middle alleyway, check the office on the left side to find a dustbin with burnt phones inside.

Document: Letter from Neltz’ Business Manager
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

There is a large office located near the entrance of the Domo Roboto Warehouse. You need to search the desk located in the area to find the letter placed on a table.

Physical: Tamu-Tamu DVDs
Location: Episode #4: Case Closed

You need to head inside the Domo Roboto Warehouse and make your way to the upper office. From the fenced area, scan the central shelf to find the evidence.
