Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Announced by EA
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is the new installment in EA’s golf franchise, the publisher has announced.
According to a press release, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is being powered by the Frostbite Engine and which allows for realistic depictions of real-world courses, highly detailed fairways and greens, and new modes and features.
We can’t argue with the visuals parts. An accompany trailer that runs for just thirty seconds displays the power of the Frostbite Engine with its pretty lighting and lush courses. As for the new modes and features, those will be revealed on a later date.
EA’s golf franchise has been on a pause for the past year, after its cover athlete Tiger Woods broke contract and signed a new deal in 2013 with Zynga Sports 365. EA probably took the time off to ascertain its options, and now has found a new cover athlete for the new installment.
McIlroy, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world at the moment, will be gracing the cover of the game when it releases in June this year. Pre-orders are currently open.
