Frozen 2 Confirmed by Disney, No Release Date Yet
All Frozen fans should get ready for its sequel. Disney has announced officially that they are all set to move into production with Frozen 2.
Frozen 2 was confirmed during the Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting in San Francisco on Thursday by Bob Iger and John Lasseter.
Frozen’s directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are working on the project alongside Walt Disney Animation Studios’ producer Del Vecho.
John Lasseter said that he is super excited for the sequel and some great ideas are coming up; Frozen 2 is going to be even bigger with a lot more songs to love and obsess over.
“We enjoyed making ‘Frozen Fever’ so much and being back in that world with those characters. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
No details other than the confirmation of Frozen 2 are available as of yet. Casting details and release date are yet to be revealed. Kristen Bell who played Anna in Frozen confirmed the sequel on her twitter. Bell told CBS News that she loves Anna and can play the character for lifetime.
“I would play Anna forever if they would let me. Not only do I enjoy the character and how much people love her, but I enjoy the team, the physical production team that I get to work with. They are all wonderful people…They’re super talented and super kind.”
A sequel for Frozen was no surprise, the movie itself touched roofs at the box office and millions of fans around the world loved it. ‘Frozen’ nearly generated $1.3 billion and its soundtrack topped for 13 weeks at the Billboard chart.
‘Let It Go’ won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written as well as an Oscar for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
