Mortal Kombat X Story Mode Footage Shows Johnny Cage and Scorpion Battling it Out
Mortal Kombat X has received a more than 6-minute long footage, showing off the game’s Story Mode from Johnny Cage’s perspective.
The said footage starts with a few characters including Johnny Cage aboard a chopper en route to a mission. The debriefing is disrupted with Scorpion killing the pilot by striking a grappling hook in his face.
Once Scorpion is dispatched by Cage, he is replaced by Sub-Zero. After a short cut-scene we see Cage battling it out with Scorpion and Sub-Zero in one-on-one battles.
During the one-on-one battles, we see Cage, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion throwing tantrums at each other which confirms exchange of dialogues during the fights. Oh, and did I mention that the fight between Cage, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero is filled with staggering amount of QTEs? Yes, it is.
Mortal Kombat X is scheduled to launch on Apr. 14, 2015 for Microsoft Xbox One, Sony Playstation 4, and PC. As for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners, the game has suffered from a delay on these platforms and will now release sometime during summer of 2015:
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer. The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14.
