Here’s a First Look at Halo 3: ODST in The Master Chief Collection
343 Industries has provided a first look at the remastered version of Halo 3: ODST, the fifth title coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One.
Additionally, the developer also released a comparison shot of the upcoming remastered multiplayer map, Relic, which is part of the Halo 2: Anniversary in the Collection.
It is based on the same name that was originally shipped with Halo 2’s Maptacular Pack in 2005. You can watch the comparison between the remastered and classic version below.
The map is apparently undergoing daily testing, as mentioned by studio head for Halo external development Dan Ayoub, who promised to share the release information soon.
He also said that there’s a new content update inbound for April that will have players seeing further “improvements to the experience in the coming months.” Early March saw to a major update for the Xbox One title that focused on the game’s matchmaking issue, a problem that has plagued players since its release late last year.
Xbox One owners who owned the Halo Collection prior to December 19 will be eligible to receive Halo 3: ODST’s campaign and the map, along with other digital goods, for free.
