Goat Simulator Releases for Xbox Next Month
Labelled as the “world’s dumbest game” by its own developer, Microsoft has announced that Goat Simulator will be making its way to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 next month.
“You no longer have to imagine what it is like to cause as much destruction as possible as a goat,” Microsoft said. “Soon you’ll be able to pick up a controller and take on the world as a goat, racking up points as you destroy the world around you, using your insanely long tongue to drag people and objects to their demise.”
The Xbox versions however, are being developed by Double Eleven, leaving aside original developer Coffee Stain Studios. Double Eleven has previously worked on Frozen Synapse Prime, as well as the PC ports of several PixelJunk games.
A specific release date or price has not been mentioned.
Goat Simulator does exactly what its name suggests. Players take control of a realistic-looking goat to cause as much damage as possible in an open-world environment. The game originally started as an internet joke but eventually was put together for a full release.
Since its release last year in April, Goat Simulator has seen to a series of content updates, including a free World of Warcraft-inspired expansion pack.
