Addams Family and More Coming to The Pinball Arcade for PS4 Next Week
Addams Family, Starship Troopers, Earthshaker, and Party Zone tables are inbound for The Pinball Arcade on the PlayStation 4 as part of a new DLC, FarSight Studios has announced.
The studio has taken it upon itself to digitize all of the popular pinball tables that were once rampant across America before video arcade games took over. These news tables that are scheduled for a release next week will up the current digital pinball collection to fifty-six.
“The Addams Family was released by Williams in 1992 and is unquestionably one of the greatest pinball tables in the history of pinball,” said Community Manager Mike Lindsey. It has sold over 20,000 units, which is more than any table ever, and designed by the legendary Pat Lawlor and Larry DeMar (who also designed Twilight Zone, Banzai Run, and Funhouse).
Starship Troopers is the next piece of content, which is based on the 1997 popular film and designed by Joe Balcer and Joe Kaminkow. The table is covered in vibrant colors and plays music from the movie, along with custom speech for special shots.
Earthshaker, designed by Pat Lawlor, was inspired by earthquakes resulting from the San Andreas Fault. The table features a shaker motor built into the cabinet that physically shakes the table when an earthquake is triggered. It also has a great soundtrack to go along.
Party Zone’s designer Dennis Nordman was all about having a good time. Players are challenged with getting the Party Animals, Party Monsters and Party Dudes to the Cosmic Cottage for a Multi-Ball Party. From there, they’ll score Jackpots and shoot for the ultimate Big Bang.
FarSight Studios will be hosting a special Twitch Stream on March 18 at 3:00 PM Pacific to show off the new tables. This is one day after the content is released on the PlayStation 4.
