The Sims 4 Infograph Reveals Interesting Facts About the Game
An infograph released for The Sims 4 reveals that over 32 million Sims have been created since its launch in September last year. Who apparently, if holding arms, would be enough to wrap around the earth.
5.7 million babies have born in the past six months, which probably has something to do with the fact that the most popular aspiration for a Sim was love, not fortune.
40 percent of Sims are married, with only 2 percent divorced so far. Over 21 million careers have been started since launch and the average net worth of a Sim is $399,730.
The most common death is from old age (32 percent), while 18 percent passed away from hunger and 14 percent from fire. Additionally, 3,000 Sims went to the afterlife by laughing alone.
In total, Sims 4 recorded 12,205 years of gameplay.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that EA has decided to shut down Maxis Emeryville after its work on The Sims franchise for a good fifteen years, and SimCity for twenty-six.
“Today we are consolidating Maxis IP development to our studios in Redwood Shores, Salt Lake City, Helsinki and Melbourne locations as we close our Emeryville location. Maxis continues to support and develop new experiences for current Sims and SimCity players, while expanding our franchises to new platforms and developing new cross-platform IP.”
Future content planned for The Sims 4 will proceed as planned. Employees concerned in the closure, will be allowed by EA to move to other jobs within the remaining Maxis studios or around Electronic Arts in general.
