Rainbow Six Siege PC Closed Alpha Announced
A closed alpha has been announced for Rainbow Six Siege on the PC, where Ubisoft will be testing and taking feedback for its multiplayer functionality.
In order to be eligible for participation, players are required to have a Uplay account. If you already have one, then head on to the Signup page to enroll yourself.
The closed alpha will be limited to North America and Europe only. The dates are going to be announced later, but for now you’ll need to verify that you have at least the following specifications for your rig:
- OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core
- CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)
- RAM: 8 GB
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X
- VRAM: 2 GB
Rainbox Six Siege is in development for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s slated for a release later this year, unless Ubisoft decides to push it forward to make space for The Division.
The upcoming first-person tactical shooter was first announced at E3 2014. Inspired by actual counter terrorist operations across the world, Rainbow Six Siege offers gameplay in a more serious tone.
With tense tactical mechanics for a shooter, the game has players planning out strategies as they step into close quarters to rescue hostages or care packages from highly armed terrorists.
