Johny Depp Injures His Hand, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Production Unaffected
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales seems to be unlucky for Johnny Depp as he injured his hand last weekend.
Pirates of the Caribbean V started its production last month on Australia’s Gold Coast and it is expected to have minimal setbacks from the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) injuring his hand.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the injury did not happen at the sets of the production and the incident will not affect the filming process greatly.
Johnny Depp is back in the U.S. for his surgery and will be back on the sets of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in no time.
Depp reappears in the movie’s fifth sequel as Jack Sparrow, directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg. This new sequel winds up with Sparrow once again caught in the midst of pirate vs. pirate ghosts. These ghosts are after all of the pirates in the sea including Jack Sparrow, as now they have escaped from Devil’s Triangle.
This time around, Jack Sparrow has a new rival ready to shred him to pieces: Javier Bardem, who will be playing the character of Captain Salazar. Captain Salazar is an old foe who wants everyone at the sea dead.
Now that he is back, survival seems more difficult and the only way to escape Salazar’s wrath is to find Poseidon’s Trident that has the ultimate power to control seas.
Kaya Scodelario, Geoffrey Rush, Golshifteh Farahani, Stephen Graham, Kevin R. McNally and Brenton Thwaites will be a part of the new sequel.
The production team has not yet announced any delay in the premiere date and as per scheduled it will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
