First Episode of PlayStation’s Sci-Fi Series Powers Available Online For Free

By   /   Mar 11, 2015

The first episode of PlayStation’s sci-fi original series Powers is up on YouTube for viewers to watch for free.

The show recently premiered on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation Plus members only, but has its first episode available online now for everyone else.

Powers is based on a graphic novel of the same name, and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Susan Heyward as homicide detectives. They both are from a special police division that investigates incidents involving superheroes and super-villains.

Christian Walker, who is played by Sharlto Copley, is a former superhero that discovers a new superhuman who possess the same powers as him. He is both intrigued and disturbed by the discovery. The show then follows him, as he realizes there’s more to this than meets the eye.

Sony has so far only release three episodes on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation Plus members. Its reception so far has been lukewarm but there’s still time before the first season ends. Those who have yet to see Powers, should check out the first episode above and tells us their thoughts on the show.

Powers is possibly a reply by Sony to rival Microsoft who debuted its own Xbox original series last year, Halo: Nightfall.
