This War of Mine is Heading to iPad
There’s an iPad version of This War of Mine that is currently in development at 11 Bit Studios.
A demo was on display at GDC 2015 last week, featuring only a part of the game since development is still not complete. Strangely, the game was rejected by Apple due to its content, but further talks convinced the company to let the game go through to its Store.
According to 11 Bit Studios, the tablet version will provide an identical experience to the PC release, including visuals. A release date wasn’t mentioned but since the game’s completion looks to be half-way through, it’s possible that we’ll be seeing it land on iPad later this year.
This War of Mine is a war survival title which was released last year in November for the PC. It got a terrific reception, being in Steam’s top sellers list for the first two weeks. Additionally 11 Bit Studios was proud to reveal that they recovered the cost of development in sales from only the first two days.
This War of Mine puts players in the shoes of civilians who have to search for supplies and survive until the war ends. The setting is inspired by the 1992–96 Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War.
