New Xbox One Bundle Features Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Microsoft has announced a new Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle that will be available for purchase later this month.
The bundle will feature the standard black version of the console, with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Owners will also get access to Halo: Nightfall, the live-action series produced by Ridley Scott.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle will be priced at $349.99 / £349.99. A specific release date has not been revealed, but Microsoft did mention that the final launch dates will depend upon the participating retailer. Note that the games will be included in digital format.
Last year Microsoft issued a $50 holiday price cut in the US, which helped the Xbox One’s sales to triple and in turn go past the PS4 in monthly hardware sales.
The price then went back up to the original $399.99 after the holiday season. The latest offering sees the company add a bundle of free games into the mix.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection was one of the titles from last year that saw to a shaky launch. Since its release in November, 343 Industries was pitted against various technical problems that included broken online services and where gamers were prevented from finding online matches.
Since then the developer has released frequent updates to iron out issues. Last week, 343 Industries rolled out a massive update that was designed to improve matchmaking performance.
