The Kardashians Show Gets a New Contract, Details Revealed
E! Network’s popular show Keeping Up With The Kardashians has one more season to run on TV.
Details of the new deal were revealed earlier, reporting that Kris Jenner has come into an agreement with E! with a 100 million dollar deal. The deal included continuation of being a part of KUWTK and the sequels.
However, there are some major limitations to the contract. An unknown source told U.S. Weekly,
“This has been in the works for almost a year. Kris is a fierce negotiator! But so is E!”
E! can pull the plug for the irresolute show anytime that they want.
Life and Style quoted an insider who suggested that a possibility of dumping the TV show does actually exist, and it may not end up well for the Kardashians.
“It’s a complicated deal but ultimately it doesn’t change the network’s plan to dump the faltering TV shows and when they do, they won’t have to pay all the money to the family.”
The negotiations included Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner appearing in the upcoming KUWTK season and the spinoff series.
However, brother Rob was out of the picture. E! network will pay Kim’s husband, Kanye West, for each episode that he appears in (if he decides to appear at all).
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters have actually signed a contract for four years with the network. However, the recent information given by an insider makes their position on the show and with the network a bit shaky.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 10 premieres Sunday March 15, 2015.
