Threats are supposed to bring you down, right? That is the general perspective but Emma Watson revealed that it only made her stronger.

“I was just raging. It made me so angry that I was just like, ‘This is why I have to be doing. This. This is why I have to be doing this. If they were trying to put me off, it did the opposite.”

Speaking on a live Q&A session on Facebook to broadcast her #HeForShe Equality Campaign, Watson for the first time talked about how she was threatened only within 12 hours of speaking for women rights.

Emmayourenext.com threatened that they will release Emma’s nude pictures only after hours of her UN appearance, confirmed People Magazine.

Watson said, “There was a website set up that was threatening to release naked images of me, with like a countdown and whatever else. I knew it was a hoax. I knew the pictures didn’t exist.”

Watson further added that many people do not believe that we have gender equality as, ‘We live in Great Britain – this is a thing of the past. We’re fine. We’re good. We have got far enough.’

Watson also explained how #HeForShe is not just about women, but also how men can support women and feminism. She is trying to involve as many men as possible in this campaign. She has already drawn pledges from 240,000 men and wishes to have more of them.

Emma Watson is the U.N ambassador for women, and she says that even the smallest of gestures count. Do not hesitate and support your women.
