With Captain America: Civil War set to hit theaters in 2016, a new addition to the cast apparently has been confirmed. Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner might be stepping in to fight along with Captain America directed by Joe and Anthony Russo next year.

In a recent interview Renner told Collider via The Hollywood Reporter, “There are rumblings of [a Hawkeye appearance in] Captain America 3, I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man. I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”

All Avengers except Black Widow and Hawkeye have had their own featured films. Hawkeye has only been a small part of other Avengers’ movies revealing no significant information about him except his ‘unknown’ history with the Black Widow.

However, Renner revealed it recently that Hawkeye will play a significant role in Avengers: The Age of Ultron.

Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) will join the set of Captain America played by Chris Evans in the aforementioned sequel.

Renner told THR, “I still have Mission: Impossible 5 that I’m going to shoot in a week. And then Bourne will happen next summer.”

With these two in the pipeline, we are hoping to see a lot of Jeremy Renner in the coming years. Captain America: Civil War will open in the US on 6 May 2016 and in the UK on 29 April 2016.
