The Big Bang Theory Pays Tribute to Leonard Nimoy in the Latest Episode
CBS hit TV drama “The Big Bang Theory” has paid tribute to the Star Trek star Mr. Leonard Nimoy in the latest episode.
The special episode ended with Mr. Nimoy’s image and small one-liner. Although usually tributes of such sort are longer in length but this one just had Mr. Nimoy’s picture with the description, “The impact you had on our show and on our lives is everlasting.”
Character of Sheldon Cooper played by Jim Parsons is obsessed with Mr. Spock. Cooper is a character unresponsive to the worldly affairs. All that matters to him is science. This character has won four Emmy Awards for Jim Parson.
The game ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock’ also featured in the show earlier. However, Leonard Nimoy never actually made a physical appearance in the show but the voice for Mr. Spock was used in one of the dream part.
Parson, whose character Sheldon Cooper was a Mr. Spock fanatic, showed his condolences on the shows official twitter account.
Star Trek: Into Darkness was the last film he did in 2013. In 2014, doctors diagnosed him with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, although he quit smoking thirty years back. Leonard Nimoy was such a man, he left us but he will LIVE, LONG and PROSPER in our hearts forever.
And as he said, “I’m touched by the idea that when we do things that are useful and helpful – collecting these shards of spirituality – that we may be helping to bring about a healing.” Let us collect these pieces and heal each other.
Leonard Nimoy, Rest in peace!
