Tekken 7 to be Playable This Month in US at Final Round 18

If you are a Tekken fan, you will be glad about this; if you are a Final Round fan as well, you will be jumping with joy! I say that because at the fighting game competition Final Round 18, Tekken 7 is going to be playable in the North America for the first time ever!

yeah, you read that right this month, you will be seeing (or better, playing) the latest iteration in one of the most celebrated fighting game series we know off.

Not a Tekken fan? Then you must be wondering why is it such a big news. Well, Tekken 7 is the ninth game in the series but so far it is only being released in Japan and as an Arcade game. Which means many of the diehard fans are going miss out on this – and a fair quantity of them live in the US, so yeah.

Any how, the news was broken by Madcatz Community manager, Mark Julio who took to his official Twitter profile to announce the following:

Playable for the first time in North America, TEKKEN 7 will be heading to FINAL ROUND 18!

As for the Final Round 18 competition, it is being held in Atlanta, Georgia and if you are going to try and play the game there, you should be there between March 20 and March 22.

After this, the game is going to be a part of EVO 2015 where the big guns will take on each other, looks like the Final Round 18 is going to serve as the training ground for that.

So far Bandai Namco has been zip lipped about the arcade machines for Tekken 7 launching in North America or a console release; here’ hoping that they unzip their lips soon.
