Elite Dangerous is Coming to Xbox One this Year!
Alright there’s some good news for people who loved the combat simulator cum space adventure PC title, Elite Dangerous.
If you guys own an Xbox One, the space based first person shooter is coming to you with a fresh start!
Frontier Developments, the maker of Elite Dangerous announced today that the third sequel of the popular series will be ported to Xbox One with Community Goals and Wings Content update – the latter of the two is still to be released on PC though.
Starting with only a small starship and a few credits, players do whatever it takes to earn the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to survive in a futuristic cutthroat galaxy and to stand among the ranks of the iconic Elite. In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, every player’s story influences the unique connected gaming experience and handcrafted evolving narrative. Governments fall, battles are lost and won, and humanity’s frontier is reshaped, all by players’ actions.
For those who don’t know, the series has been out there since 1984 and the developers claim is a “genre-defining” franchise. They also boast of reality based galactic proportions in the Milky Way galaxy which has been recreated completely.
As far as the PC version is concerned, the developers are preparing the Wings content update which is going to add new features to boost coop play and collaborations It will let you “protect friends on a risky trade run, spread out to map systems or hunt prey, and work together to reshape the galaxy.”
So far Frontier Developments have not shared a specific release date for Elite Dangerous Xbox One version, but I think it won’t be any time later than the summers this year.
