Sarah Michelle Gellar Will Star in Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels

Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Grudge 2, The Crazy Ones and I Know What You Did Last Summer), is set to join Star Wars Rebels in its season.

She’ll be working alongside the brilliant voice cast that consist of her husband Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray and David Oyelowo. The news was revealed by Executive Producer/Supervising Director Dave Filoni earlier yesterday,

No news about Gellar’s character in the animated show on Disney XD has been released yet. However, Filoni says,

“We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two. She is a true ‘Star Wars Rebels’ fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions.”

Star Wars Rebels carries on its epic practice and discloses the happenings of Star Wars 3 and four. It articulates the story of the diverse but shrewd group of the starship Ghost.

In the second season, “Star Wars Rebels” will feature repetitive presence by fan-favorite characters including Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano.
