Bloodborne Has an M Rating, Details Are Interesting
We know a lot about Bloodorne but a little extra information doesn’t harm. The game has been given an “M for Mature” rating by the ESRB who also provided a little description of the game.
First off, the ESRB summary of the game mentions the types of weapons that the hunters use. There’s nothing in there that we didn’t know before but yeah there will be axes, cleavers and so on and so forth:
This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of a hunter on a quest through an ancient gothic city. Players use cleavers, axes, and pistols to kill monsters and human-like creatures.
Next up, it goes on to mention blood and gunfire, again that is something we already knew. It is what comes next that is really interesting. The description mentions some of the enemies! There is a headless ghost and a character that rips out its own limbs to attack with:
Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, impact sounds, and large blood-splatter effects. Some sequences depict instances of blood and gore: a ghost holding its own severed head; a creature ripping its limbs to attack characters; a partial view of a beheading.
Aren’t they worth looking out for?
From Software is really putting their hearts into making Bloodborne as you would have guessed from the collaborative video that Sony and the developers released recently.
The game is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 4. It will be released in North America on March 24, in European Union on March 25, in Japan on March 26 and finally in UK on March 27.
