Shadowrun Online is Now Shadowrun Chronicles, Trailer Inside

If you didn’t like the name Shadowrun Online, don’t worry because the developers have changed it to Shadowrun Chronicles.

The official website of the game has a post detailing the new name, the launch date, a new trailer and the name of the first chapter, Boston Lockdown.

So why exactly have they changed the name? Well, the developers say that some ideas that the world online gave to it didn’t apply to their game whereas the word chronicles does justice to their ideas:

We think the new title does away with a couple of associations people had with “Online” that didn’t apply to our game and which led to some disappointed buyers and backers. “Chronicles” expresses our goal to continue to tell stories and release new content evolving from the collective actions of our players over time

That being said, the new trailer (embedded above) features character customization options including costumes and more. Of course that is apart from flaunting the new name.

Last but not the least, they have announced an April 28 release date.

Shadowrun Chronicles is being developed for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, Android, iOS and Ouya.
