Mad Max Confirmed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC Release This September

By   /   Mar 3, 2015

The last-gen versions of Mad Max have been cancelled, and the game is now poised to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 4 in UK, Warner Bros. has confirmed.

According to a report by Game Informer, the cancellation of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mad Max allowed the developer to focus more on the next-gen versions. In the process, it was able to “deliver stunning vistas and effects that will challenge your expectations of what the Wasteland might look like.”

Mad Max is available now for pre-orders and doing so will get you an additional Magnum Opus car body called The Ripper for free. The vehicle packs a “powerful V8 engine, upgraded exhaust with custom off-road tires, a ramming grill and a tuned suspension so it can take on a variety of Wasteland surfaces.” Everything you need to cause additional mayhem.

More details about Mad Max are expected to arrive later this week. This month’s issue of Game Informer is featuring coverage for the game and we’ll know more about its gameplay and other elements.

Avalanche is releasing two major titles this year. Mad Max will release prior to Just Cause 3, which will release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in winter.
