Resident Evil Revelations 2: New Mod Lets You Play Local Co-Op
When Resident Evil Revelations 2 Episode 1 came out, the PC version lacked local co-op support, even though its Steam page suggested otherwise. Capcom later issued an apology and said it was a mistake while describing the product.
Whatever it was, in the end fans were outraged and many asked for a refund. But before you return your copy of the game and get your refund, what if I tell you local co-op is possible in Resident Evil Revelations 2 PC?
No I’m not high, it’s now actually possible to play the game offline with your friend. One of you will control Moira, while the other will fight the infected with Claire in the Campaign mode.
All this is possible thanks to a new mod that has done what no developer at Capcom could do. The mod in question is created by a Youtube user named FluffyQuack. He didn’t share technical details of how he managed to do this, but you can check out his creation in the video above.
The mod seems to run well but there are some minor issues that need to be addressed. For now, you will have to use gamepads because “Keyboard/mouse controls always affect both players”, so it’s not usable. Also, local co-op feature doesn’t work in Raid Mode, but FluffyQuack says he is working on it.
So I guess the idea of getting a refund should be put on hold until you try out this mod.
