Weather Changes in Xenoblade Chronicles X Will Effect Battles
A new video shows us the day and night cycle of Xenoblade Chronicles X, as well as how the game’s weather changes will come to play.
The time of day will grant you some beautiful atmospheric settings on Planet Mira, which is divided between early morning to morning, afternoon, evening, night, midnight, and so on. Characters will also move about depending on the time.
As for the weather, it will range from fair, cloudy, rainy, thunderstorms, aurora, rainbow, and more. Additionally, some regions will feature their own characteristic environment, such as heat waves and sandstorms.
According to Game Director Koh Kojima, some monsters will appear depending on the time of day or night.
It has already been a feature in Xenoblade Chronicles, but in the X installment, the weather changes will have an effect on battles. It isn’t just a visual effect. Kojima clarified that the new system will play a vital role in battle tactics, but did not mention how.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is due out for Wii U on April 29 in Japan and later this year in North America and Europe.
