Valve to Showcase SteamVR, Finalized Steam Controller, and Steam Machines at GDC 2015
On Thursday, Valve announced that it will unveil some new iteration of Steam Machines, the finalized version of Steam Controller, and previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware at the Game Developers Conference 2015.
Steam is bringing the best games and user-generated content to exciting new destinations. At GDC 2015, we’ll be giving demos of the refined Steam Controller, new living room devices, and a previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware system.
Gamasutra reports that Valve had “already added a SteamVR section to its popular download service.” However, this is the first time the company has come out with an official announcement:
With the introduction of SteamVR hardware, Valve is actively seeking VR content creators. Are you a developer or publisher interested in experiencing the new SteamVR hardware? We’ll be giving scheduled VR demos during the week of GDC, March 4th-6th, 2015, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Coming to the Steam Controller, the company has changed its design more than a few times and this is the first time we will see a finalized version.
As for the Steam Machines, Valve has plans to showcase a “family” of both Steam Machines and new living room devices at the show – these Steam Machines will be “front and center” at the upcoming event.
GDC 2015 is scheduled to take place from March 4th-6th at Moscone Center in San Francisco. For more information, check this link.
