Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Release Date Announced
The highly anticipated sequel to the brutal Hotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is heading to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Linux and PC starting March 10th – Devolver Digital announced.
Along with the announcement of a release date, Hotline Miami 2 is now available for pre-order. If you pre-order via Steam, GOG or Humble you’ll get a 10% discount. Pre-order discount is valid for both Hotline Miami 2 and the Digital Special Edition, which includes Remix EP.
Moreover, players who own PayDay 2 and are getting Hotline Miami 2 will get an exclusive Mask and Jacket character pack. In Hotline Miami 2, players can control thirteen character and each of them has his own speciality and backstory.
According to a press-release:
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is the brutal conclusion to the Hotline Miami saga, set against a backdrop of escalating violence and retribution over spilled blood in the original game. Follow the paths of several distinct factions – each with their own questionable methods and uncertain motivations – as unforeseen consequences intersect and reality once again slips back into a brilliant haze of neon and bloodshed.
Hotline Miami 2 is coming to North America but if you are a fan of the game residing in Australia, you’ll be disappointed to know that the title has been banned from release. According to the Australian classification board, the game features sexual violence, which is among the reasons the title is banned.
On the other hand, Devolver says the board has “stretched the facts.” Whatever it is, the bottom line is that Australian fans aren’t getting the game officially.
