Devil’s Third is not Coming to Steam, Itagaki Confirms

By   /   Feb 23, 2015

Tomonobu Itagaki has outrightly denied that his upcoming game Devil’s Third will be coming to Steam.

The news follows a recent listing of the game which appeared on Steam under the title of Devil’s Third Online without features such as cross-region gifting and trading. When showed to Itagaki, he straightaway called it a fake – his actual statement reads:

That’s fake, thx for the info.

Fans who have been following the game for some time will know that the SteamDB can be connected to an earlier rumor suggesting that the port is being worked on by Korean studio Doobic. Itagaki, however, did not comment on it.

Devil’s Third is a FP-shooter and TP-hack-and-slash hybrid which is originally planned to release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. However, the game moved to Valhalla Game Studios back in 2013 and Nintendo took the responsibility of publishing duties.

In related Devil’s Third news, Itagaki called the game an unprecedented shooter which will take some more time before being finalized. According to him, the game contains a lot of elements “well over the volume to be provided by two regular games.”

The game is currently without a concrete release date, but the game is expected to launch sometime in 2015 exclusively for Nintendo Wii U.
