Xenoblade Chronicles X Amiibo Figurines is a Good Idea, Says Monolith

Monolith Soft has done a good job with the latest Xenoblade game, or at least the stuff we have seen so far suggest so. There is another thing that has been quite popular among the Nintendo fans as well.

Amiibo figurines have been in high demand ever since they were launched by Nintendo, so much so that people bought the Smash Bros Amiibo line figurines for a lot more than what they originally cost.

How would you like to have some for Xenoblade Chronicles X? Apparently, the developers love that idea if some new tweets from the game’s Twitter are to believed.

Sadly, I am no good at Japanese which is why I had to rely on what people with knowledge of the language had to say about it. This NeoGAF thread details exactly what the tweets meant.

According to the translations we have found, Tetsuya Takahashi, the game director for Xenoblade Chronicles X at Monolith Soft says that he would love to see an Amiibo line for the game in the coming days:

It’s been about a month since I posted. The Shulk amiibo came out! I’ve been supervising this since the early prototype stages, but I’d like to say thanks to all the people who’ve worked very hard on the amiibo. I saw a production model at the start of this month and I was very impressed with the build quality. This time it’s a Smash Bros. figurine, but I’d love for there to be a Xenoblade [amiibo] series sometime in the future, too.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is being developed exclusively for Wii U and it is slated for a release in Japan on April 29, 2015; the PAL regions will also get a release later this year.
