The team at Crystal Dynamics now has two new members that will be working on Rise of the Tomb Raider and other projects. One of these new additions is none other than Tore Blystad.
He was the Game and Art Director of Hitman: Absolution and started his career over 20 years ago. Him being hired was formally announced a post by the company which also revealed that he will be taking the position of Performance Director at the studio.
Tore started his career at Funcom in Norway over two decades ago. After his time at Funcom, he moved to Denmark for a 10-year run at IO Interactive, contributing heavily to the Hitman franchise. Tore was most recently Game & Art Director on Hitman: Absolution. Relocating to sunny California, Tore joins Crystal Dynamics as Performance Director.
The second new employee of the studio is Nate Wells who previously announced his arrival at Crystal Dynamics on twitter. However, the company formally announced it in the same post as well.
Nate is most recently known for his work at Naughty Dog as Lead Artist on The Last of Us. Nate joins Crystal Dynamics as Environmental Art Director.
Before this, Nate Wells worked on games like System Shock 3, Thief: The Dark Project, and later worked with Irrational Games on Bioshock and BioShock: Infinite.
Both of these people are highly talented and have years of experience in their respective fields. Crystal Dynamics will certainly benefit a lot from these new hirers.
