Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Suffering From Freezing Issues on Xbox One

By   /   Feb 18, 2015

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round was recently released on multiple platforms including Xbox One. Many users are reporting a bug in the game that causes it to freeze and forces the player to restart.

Users on both GameFaQs and Reddit have reported the same problem. One player even made a video of the bug and posted it online. In the footage, you can see the game freezing around 10 seconds into a match, forcing the player to go back to the home screen to restart.

Apart from the full game, the free demo is also suffering from the same issue. There isn’t a guaranteed fix for the bug at the moment, but it is believed that if Throwdowns are disabled, the issue goes away.

Developer Team Ninja is yet to comment of the matter or announce a hotfix for the bug. The above mentioned issue isn’t the only problem with the game. The Xbox One version is not compatible with Mad Catz TE2 sticks.

Team Ninja confirmed on twitter after fans reported the problem:

Mad Catz TE2 fightstick is not workable with DOA5 Last Round Xbox One. We are checking with Mad Catz at this moment.

Similar issues aren’t reported to any other platform, meaning the lack of fightstick compatibility is limited to Xbox One. However, Team Ninja says they are in-touch with Mad Catz to sort things out.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 but a PC version will be released next month.
