Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby Sell Over 9 Million Copies in Three Months

By   /   Feb 17, 2015

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby have currently sold more than 9.35 million copies within only three months.

The latest installment in the series has proven that the craze for Pokemon is far from over. The games haven’t even gone through a full launch year and have already surpassed a number of other Pokemon games, including the insanely popular Black 2/White 2, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum.

Right now Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby is eying Pokemon Red and Blue, which have sold around 31 million copies. Keeping in view of the latest figures recorded in just three months, the same momentum will probably help them cross Red and Blue with ease. That is unless some other game gets released that proves to be a greater distraction than the latest Pokemon game.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are now available for Nintendo’s 3DS systems.
