Uncharted 4 Grapple Hook, Sandbox, FPS, Texture Quality Discussed
The last time we talked about Uncharted 4 was when the game featured in an issue of Play. This time again it is in relation to details that have allegedly been shared by the developers through a magazine.
The Official PlayStation Magazine has a very lengthy article on the game, and while we still to get our hands on the issue, reports on the internet detail some of the things that have been discussed in it.
First off, the developers have said that climbing in Uncharted 4 is not going to be easy and you will always be running the risk of getting imbalanced and falling down. So maintaining a balance will be key to using the grappling hook properly.
Moving on, it appears that Naughty Dog is keeping 60FPS without affecting the gameplay as its utmost priority – apparently they are going for the “really fucking hard” task!
As far as the game’s textures are concerned, developers reiterated that they are going to give us four times as good textures as the previous title.
Last but not the least, the game is going to incorporate sandbox elements into the gameplay at “a level of openness Naughty Dog hasn’t courted since Jak 3.” You will be able to explore around and you will also be able to find out more information on the game’s setting and story.
Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End is being developed as a PlayStation 4 exclusive and it will be released sometime this year – until the developers decide to say when.
