Binding of Isaac Afterbirth DLC Adds 200 Hours to Gameplay Time!

By   /   Feb 14, 2015

Binding of Isaac Afterbirth is the new expansion that is going to be released to the Rebirth remake by Edmund McMillen the developer.

He has detailed the expansion couple of hours ago revealing the contents of the expansion pack. To say the least, it is massive. I say that because you are getting hundreds of new items, tens of new challenges, tons of new achievements and even a brand new game mode!

This is the list of content that was shared by McMillen:

  • 100+ new items
  • A full new game mode that will totally change how you play
  • 10 new challenges
  • A new playable character
  • A new alternate final chapter
  • New alt floors
  • New game endings
  • New final bosses
  • Tons of new bosses and enemies
  • New item pickups, cards, pills, etc.
  • Tons of new achievements and rewards for beating the game on hard
  • New co-op babies
  • New transformations

After looking at this list it got me wondering how many gameplay hours will the Binding of Isaac Afterbirth expansion add to the game. The developer answering that for us too! According to the post, this expansion will add 100-200 hours!

That is not all, a list of challenges was also shared based on the feedback that community provided some time ago. While all of them are not bound to be in the expansion, there is a fair chance that man will.

Last but not the least, you can also help them create new item combos by suggesting ideas. The post reads:

I’m asking everyone to pool their knowledge and give us your top 10 must have item combos in rebirth that dont currently exist.

Go here to suggest.
